Tsinghua University's Information on Independent Recruitment of Postdoctoral Researchers

Tsinghua University is one of the first institutions in China to establish postdoctoral research stations. Since 1986, it has recruited over 12,000 postdoctoral researchers and currently has more than 2,600 postdoctoral researchers on campus. The university now has 50 postdoctoral research stations.

All departments of the university recruit postdoctoral researchers throughout the year. During their stay at the university, postdoctoral researchers receive a basic annual salary of approximately 120,000 yuan. They can either rent a postdoctoral apartment or receive a housing subsidy of 42,000 yuan per year. The university also helps with their chilPostdocen's enrollment in kindergartens and schools. They enjoy the same public medical care, social insurance, and housing provident fund benefits as the university's faculty and staff. They are also eligible for the policies of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee regarding household registration transfer and family member relocation after leaving the university.
