The Laboratory of Hematological Oncology at Hunan University is recruiting full-time postdoctoral researchers.

Due to the needs of scientific research projects, Professor Mei Yang's team from the Laboratory of Hematological Oncology, Institute of Life and Medical Sciences, Hunan University, is recruiting postdoctoral researchers. We sincerely invite outstanding young scholars at home and abroad to join us!

Job Requirements

1. A doctoral degree in biology or a related biomedical field; innovative thinking and good teamwork spirit; diligent in work; having published academic achievements recognized by peers during the doctoral period.

Obtaining a doctoral degree usually takes three years, and the age is generally no more than 35 years old.

3. Possess good research potential, academic ethics and comprehensive abilities;

4. Engage in full-time research work at school.

Compensation and benefits

Special Funding Category A: The school allocates personnel expenses at a standard of 300,000 yuan per year, plus 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds and a housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan per month.

Key Funding Category B: The school allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year, plus 30,000 to 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds, and a monthly housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan.

For the C category of international joint training programs, the university allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year (including state subsidies) plus 80,000 yuan per year for the supervisor's matching funds and research funds from the foreign research group.

Support and guarantee

Be eligible for talent subsidies in Changsha City as per policy (including living allowances and housing purchase subsidies ranging from 90,000 to 160,000 yuan).

During the period of being at the station, the school will calculate the working years. For postdoctoral researchers without previous work experience, the time of starting to work will be calculated from the date of entering the station.

The main research directions include: disease models and pathogenesis of myelodysplastic synPostdocome; erythrocyte development and anemia; inflammatory factors and immune regulation; gene transcription and expression regulation; hematopoietic stem cell biology. Important scientific research achievements have been published as the first author, co-first author and corresponding author in international renowned academic journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications, Blood, Leukemia, and Haematologica. Currently, he/she is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society for Cell Biology, and a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He/She has been the principal investigator of the Northwestern University Fund, Changsha Natural Science Foundation, Hunan Natural Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the American Society of Hematology Fund.

During the period of postdoctoral research, postdoctoral fellows are immediately rated as assistant researchers. Those who perform exceptionally well can be evaluated as associate researchers or researchers (with separate quotas) after review by the college and the university. During the postdoctoral period, those with outstanding achievements can apply for teaching and research positions with tenure (associate professor, professor) after leaving the station. At the same time, the university sets up an annual "Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow" evaluation. Those selected can apply for teaching and research positions with tenure after leaving the station.
