The research group of Professor Peng Shaoliang at Hunan University is recruiting full-time postdoctoral researchers.

Due to the requirements of scientific research projects, the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha of Hunan University/College of Information Science and Engineering, Peng Shaoliang's research group, is recruiting postdoctoral researchers. Job Requirements

Professional requirements: Relevant background in science and engineering such as computer science, automation, electronic information, mathematics, physics, etc. are preferred. Interdisciplinary majors like biomedicine, Postdocug design, and bioinformatics are also welcome.

2. Recent doctoral graduates or those who have obtained their doctoral degrees within three years, and are under 35 years old.

3. Possess good research potential, academic ethics and comprehensive abilities; be upright and passionate about research and development.

4. Engage in full-time research work at school.

Recruitment Type

Special Funding Category A: The university allocates personnel funds at a standard of 300,000 yuan per year (including national funding) + matching funds from the college/supervisor + a monthly housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan.

Key Funding Category B: The school allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year, plus matching funds from the college or supervisor, and a monthly housing allowance of 1,800 yuan.

General C category funding: The university allocates personnel expenses at a standard of 120,000 yuan per year, plus matching funds from the college or supervisor, and a monthly housing allowance of 1,800 yuan.

For the D category of international joint training programs: The university allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year (including state subsidies) + matching funds from the college/mentor + funds from the foreign research group.

Support and guarantee

During the period of being at the station, the school calculates the working years. For postdoctoral researchers without previous work experience before entering the station, the time of starting work is calculated from the date of entering the station.

Introduction to the Co-supervisor

Professor Peng Shaoliang, Deputy Director of the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha (Hunan University), has successively won the Second Prize of CCF Technical Invention Award of China Computer Federation in 2021 (ranked 1st), the First Prize of Hunan Province Technical Invention Award in 2019 (ranked 1st), the Second Prize of CCF Natural Science Award of China Computer Federation in 2018 (ranked 1st), and the First Prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award. His research mainly focuses on high-performance computing, big data, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, blockchain and other technologies. As the person in charge of the life science direction of Tianhe supercomputing, he has published over 100 high-level papers, authored 7 monographs on supercomputing and big data, and his papers have been cited over 6,000 times. One of his papers ranks 9th in the global MULTIDISCIPLINARY field and was published in the Science Precision Medicine Special Issue in February 2018. He has presided over 6 vertical scientific research projects including the Key Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology (Project 5), and has been granted 37 invention patents and software copyrights. He has served as a member of the Biological Interdisciplinary Project Group of the Central Military Commission Science and Technology Committee, an expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Education, a director of the China Computer Federation, the deputy director of the CCF Computer Application and Bioinformatics Special Committee, the chairperson of YOCSEF Changsha and an AC member of the headquarters, a standing committee member of the CCF High Performance Computing and Big Data Special Committee, a member of the CCF Blockchain Special Committee, a standing committee member of the CCF Changsha, the president of the Hunan Bioinformatics Society, and the deputy director of the Expert Committee of the Hunan Artificial Intelligence Association. He also serves as the editor-in-chief of 2 SCI journals and the editor-in-chief or deputy editor-in-chief of multiple EI journals.
