Due to the needs of scientific research projects, Professor Liu Jilei's team from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Hunan University is recruiting postdoctoral researchers. We sincerely invite outstanding young scholars from home and abroad to join us!
Job Requirements
Professional requirements: Possess research background in electrochemical energy storage materials/devices design or spectroscopy.
Obtaining a doctoral degree usually takes three years, and the age is generally no more than 35 years old.

Compensation and benefits
Special Funding Category A: The school allocates personnel funds at a standard of 300,000 yuan per year, plus 30,000 to 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds, and a monthly housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan.
Key Funding Category B: The school allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year, plus 30,000 to 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds, and a housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan per month.
For the C category of international joint training programs, the university allocates personnel funds at a standard of 200,000 yuan per year (including state subsidies), plus 30,000 to 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds and funds from the foreign research group.
General Funding Category D: The university allocates personnel expenses at a standard of 120,000 yuan per year, plus 30,000 to 80,000 yuan per year for mentor matching funds, and a monthly housing subsidy of 1,800 yuan.
Support and guarantee
Be eligible for talent subsidies in Changsha City as per policy (including living allowances and housing purchase subsidies ranging from 130,000 to 200,000 yuan).
During the period of being at the station, the school will calculate the working years. For postdoctoral researchers without previous work experience before entering the station, their working time will be calculated from the date of entering the station.
3. Postdoctoral researchers are immediately rated as assistant researchers upon entry. The quota for recognizing associate researchers during the postdoctoral period is listed separately.
4. The university has specially established the "Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow" award. Those who are selected can apply for a teaching and research position with a permanent staff status after completing their postdoctoral research.

Introduction to the Co-supervisor/Research Group/Team
Liu Jilei is a professor, doctoral supervisor and vice dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Hunan University. His project team, relying on the Hunan Provincial International Joint Laboratory of Clean Energy Materials and Technology, the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Advanced Carbon Materials and Application Technology, and the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha, has undertaken more than 10 projects including the National Special Talent Program, the Key Special Project of the National Key Research and Development Program of Strategic International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including Youth, General, and Key Projects of the Regional Innovation Development Joint Fund), the Hunan Provincial Key Research and Development Program - International and Regional Cooperation Project, the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, the Hunan Provincial Lake and River Talent Program - Innovation Project, and enterprise horizontal projects. The team focuses on the development of new in-situ spectroscopy-electrochemical characterization techniques and key materials and technologies for new electrochemical energy storage systems.

In-situ spectroelectrochemical characterization (phase transformation and degradation mechanism of electrode materials, electrode/electrolyte matching effect, etc.)
(2) Design and optimization of new electrochemical energy storage materials and devices (sodium/potassium-ion batteries, aqueous hybrid rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors, etc.)
(3) Preparation and application of carbon-based functional materials (graphene foam/film, carbon nanotubes, porous carbon, etc.)

(1) Research Platforms: The Chemistry discipline at Hunan University is a key discipline under the national "Double First-Class" initiative, and the Materials discipline ranks among the top 0.19% in the international ESI. They have undertaken multiple Macau Science and Technology Funds and major joint research and development projects with the Ministry of Science and Technology, focusing on in-situ spectroscopy and electrochemical characterization of material interfaces.
