Job Description
Professor Yang Zhenjun's research group from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Wuhan University is in need of several postdoctoral researchers and research assistants for its scientific research work. The recruitment is valid for a long term.
Yang Zhenjun, a second-level professor at Wuhan University, is a doctoral supervisor in structural engineering and solid mechanics. He is a national-level young talent and a fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK. In the past four years, he has been consistently listed on Elsevier's China Most Cited Researchers list and Stanford University's World's Top 2% Scientists list. He has led over 30 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the UK, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, the US and European Aeronautics Research Fund, the Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, and commissions from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Academy of Engineering Physics. He serves as an editorial board member for several SCI-indexed English journals (non-OA), including the associate editor of Structures, a journal in the second tier of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has supervised over 20 doctoral students and 6 postdoctoral researchers (currently, 2 are professors and 6 are associate professors at universities both at home and abroad, with one serving as a dean). His laboratory is equipped with world-leading in-situ micro-CT scanning equipment, computational mechanics simulation software, and high-performance computing workstations. I. Main Research Directions
The multi-scale random fracture and damage mechanics theory and computational simulation methods for complex materials such as concrete, fiber composites, shale, and Postdocy hot rock;
2. In-situ micro-CT experimental characterization and computational simulation of the failure process of complex materials under the action of loads, water pressure, environmental factors, etc.
3. Ultra-high performance fiber-reinforced concrete 3D printing, process simulation and parameter optimization;
4. Thermal-fluid-solid-damage multi-field coupling computational simulation method for hyPostdocaulic fracturing in shale gas and hot Postdocy rock energy extraction
5. Development and application of high-performance numerical methods: scaled boundary finite element method.
II. Job Requirements
Have good ideological and political qualities and professional ethics, be rigorous in scientific attitude, love one's job and be dedicated, and be in good health.
2. Have a solid foundation in structural engineering, building materials, computational mechanics or rock mechanics, and have published high-level academic papers;
3. Applicants should generally be no more than 35 years old, have obtained their doctoral degrees no more than three years ago (as of the date of application submission), or have met the basic requirements for the defense of their doctoral dissertations at the time of application.
4. Comply with other relevant regulations of Wuhan University concerning postdoctoral management.
III. Job Responsibilities
Independently carry out research related to the supervisor's project, publish high-level academic papers, and participate in important academic conferences in the field.
2. Assist the supervisor in applying for research projects, manage the research group team and laboratory, and organize academic reports and conferences.
3. Encourage and support postdoctoral researchers to actively apply for scientific research projects on their own.
IV. Remuneration and Benefits
The annual salary ranges from 210,000 to 300,000 yuan (before tax, including the portion from the research group). Particularly outstanding candidates will be recommended to apply for the "Hongyi Postdoctoral" program of the university. The specific salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university. Additionally, various postdoctoral project subsidies from the state, Hubei Province, and Wuhan City can be superimposed.
During the period of stationing, one can apply for the qualification of associate senior position. Those who meet the school's talent introduction policy and the conditions for leaving the station can apply for a teaching position at the school.
