Job Description
Professor Yang Bisheng's research group at Wuhan University is seeking 2-3 postdoctoral researchers for its scientific research needs. We warmly welcome young talents to join us! Professor Yang Bisheng, the leader of the research group, is the director of the National Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, and the director of the Institute of Spatial Intelligence. He is a recipient of special government allowances from the State Council and chief scientist of national key R&D programs. His main research directions include point cloud processing, spatial intelligence, remote sensing and GIS applications. He also serves as co-chair of the Point Cloud Processing Working Group of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, associate editor of ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, editorial board member of Acta Geodaetica et Cartographica Sinica, and associate editor of Journal of Remote Sensing. He has been awarded the Carl Pulfrich Award in 2019, as well as the First Prize of Hubei Provincial Natural Science, Special Prize of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology Progress, and First Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress. Possess good ideological and political qualities and professional ethics, adopt a rigorous scientific attitude, be dedicated to work and enjoy good physical and mental health. 2. Have solid theoretical and practical foundations, and have published high-level academic papers in relevant fields within the past three years. 3. Hold a doctoral degree or have completed doctoral dissertation defense and are about to obtain the doctoral degree. Applicants are generally required to be under 35 years old, with an academic background in computer science, electronic information, surveying and mapping, remote sensing or related disciplines. 4. Have strong independent research capabilities, and be able to assist in supervising postgraduate students and applying for major scientific research projects. 5. Abide by other relevant regulations on postdoctoral management of Wuhan University. III. Job Benefits The annual pre-tax salary ranges from 200,000 to 300,000 yuan (including subsidies from the research group). Salaries and benefits for exceptionally outstanding candidates will be negotiated separately.
