Wuhan University "Hongyi Postdoctoral" Program Global Recruitment Announcement 2025

To attract outstanding young talents to conduct research at Wuhan University, support and cultivate young talents with development and innovation potential to pursue academic excellence and scale the heights of science and technology, the university has specially established the "Hongyi Postdoctoral" program. The application and selection process for the 2025 Wuhan University "Hongyi Postdoctoral" program is now open. I. Support Period

The support period is generally two years. Those who achieve outstanding results during their stay can apply for an extension to three years.

II. Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive an annual salary of 300,000 yuan (before tax) from the university. The candidate's home institution and the co-supervisor may provide additional financial support based on the candidate's overall situation. In addition, the candidates can also apply for various national postdoctoral project funds, as well as financial support from Hubei Province and Wuhan City.

2. Benefits: Provide housing provident fund, endowment insurance, occupational annuity. Priority to enjoy postdoctoral apartment or housing subsidy will be given, and chilPostdocen's nursery and school enrollment, medical care and other benefits will be provided.

3. Career Development Path: According to the relevant regulations of the school, during the period of being in the postdoctoral station, one can apply for the qualification of associate senior position. If one meets the school's talent introduction policy and fulfills the conditions for leaving the station, one can apply for a teaching position at the school.

III. Application Requirements

Have good ideological and political qualities and professional ethics, with upright teaching conduct and style, rigorous scientific attitude, dedication to work, and good health.

2. Applicants should be no more than 35 years old, with a solid academic background and strong academic potential.

3. Have obtained a doctoral degree no more than three years ago (as of the application deadline for each batch), or have met the basic requirements for the defense of a doctoral dissertation at the time of application.

4. A research team or project group has been initially selected, and a preliminary research plan has been discussed and formed with the team or group leader.

Other instructions:

Postdoctoral researchers currently at Wuhan University whose contract expiration date is within six months of the deadline for individual submission of materials for each batch of evaluations can apply for the corresponding batch of evaluations.

Applicants who have been awarded the National Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program (Class A of the National Postdoctoral Researcher Funding Program), upon recommendation by their respective institutions, may be directly admitted to the "Hongyi Postdoctoral" Program of Wuhan University.

IV. Selection Procedure

Applicants submit their application materials to their respective units. Each unit selects and recommends candidates based on their ideological and political qualities, educational background, academic level, research capabilities, the innovativeness of the proposed research content, and its potential to advance the discipline. The Personnel Department then organizes experts for review and submits the results to the school for approval. After the approval results are publicly displayed without objections, the final list of selected candidates is determined.

V. Application Materials

2. Supporting documents:

Identity materials: Valid ID card (foreigners should provide their passports); Doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate (for recent doctoral graduates, a certificate showing they meet the doctoral graduation requirements must be provided; for those who obtained their degrees from abroad, a "Certificate of Overseas Education and Degree" issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center is required).

(2) Academic and research achievements materials: Papers, monographs, patents or awards, and information on research projects undertaken that represent the applicant's academic and research capabilities. Among them: For papers, provide the full text (for unpublished papers, also provide proof of acceptance) and proof of inclusion and retrieval; for monographs, provide the cover, table of contents and abstract; for patents or awards, provide the certificates; for research projects undertaken, provide relevant supporting materials.

(3) Three recommendation letters from experts, including one from the doctoral supervisor (for postdoctoral fellows in station, the recommender is not restricted).

VI. Time Schedule

The first batch of application and selection

The deadline for units to submit materials is March 10, 2025.

The announcement of the school results is scheduled for the end of April 2025.

2. The Second Batch of Application and Evaluation

Individual application submission deadline: Before April 30, 2025

The deadline for units to submit materials is May 15, 2025.

The announcement of school results is scheduled for the end of June 2025.

3. Third Batch of Application and Evaluation

Individual application submission deadline: Before August 15, 2025

The deadline for units to submit materials is August 31, 2025.

The announcement of the school results is scheduled for the end of September 2025.

4. The Fourth Batch of Application and Evaluation

Individual application submission deadline: Before September 30, 2025

The deadline for units to submit materials is before October 31, 2025.

The announcement of the school results is scheduled for the end of December 2025.

VII. Relevant Explanations

Selected candidates who did not submit their doctoral degree certificates at the time of application must present their certificates when they come to the university to complete the formalities. If they have not obtained the doctoral degree certificate, their selection qualification will be revoked.

Applicants can only submit the application materials for the Hongyi Postdoctoral Program of the same batch through one institution each time. Applications submitted through two or more institutions for the same batch will be invalid.

3. The university will issue an admission notice for the "Hongyi Postdoctoral Program" of Wuhan University to the selected candidates. The candidates must submit the application materials for postdoctoral research at the university as required in the notice. After the approval process is completed, they will go through the formalities for entering the postdoctoral research station.

3. After entering the station, one must be fully committed to conducting postdoctoral research at Wuhan University.
