I. University Profile

Shanghai University is a comprehensive research-oriented university affiliated to Shanghai Municipality. It is a joint university supported by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, a key university under the national “211 Project”, a university under the construction of Shanghai’s high-level local universities, and a national “Double First-Class” construction university.

Shanghai University offers a complete range of disciplines, covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, and interdisciplinary studies. It currently has 32 colleges, 101 undergraduate programs, 26 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 7 interdisciplinary doctoral programs, 41 first-level discipline master’s programs (including those covering first-level discipline doctoral programs), 1 second-level discipline master’s program (not covered by first-level disciplines), 2 doctoral professional degree categories, 27 master’s professional degree categories (including doctoral professional degree categories), and 24 postdoctoral research stations.

Shanghai University actively implements the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, and has initially formed a faculty team with a clearer hierarchy, a more reasonable structure, an international perspective, and adaptability to the school’s development needs, as well as several distinctive, influential, and potential disciplinary teams. Currently, there are 3,508 full-time teachers, including 808 with senior titles and 1,113 with associate senior titles. Since 1994, as the first completing unit/first completer, it has won 1 second prize of the National Natural Science Award, 3 second prizes of the National Technological Invention Award, 5 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 30 Outstanding Achievement Awards in Scientific Research in Institutions of Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) by the Ministry of Education (including 2 first prizes), 26 Outstanding Achievement Awards in Scientific Research in Institutions of Higher Education (Science and Technology) by the Ministry of Education (including 2 first prizes), 26 first prizes of the Shanghai Science and Technology Award, 187 awards including the Shanghai Outstanding Achievements in Research and Publicity of the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the Shanghai Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences (including 40 first prizes), 21 Shanghai Decision-Making Consulting Research Achievement Awards (including 3 first prizes), and 47 major projects of the National Social Science Fund and major research projects of philosophy and social sciences by the Ministry of Education.

### II. Recruitment Positions

Shanghai University currently has 24 postdoctoral research stations, covering 8 disciplines: economics, law, literature, history, science, engineering, management, and art. A total of 396 postdoctoral positions are planned to be recruited this year.

### III. Job Requirements

1. Possess good ideological and political qualities and moral cultivation, excel in both character and academic performance, and be in good health;

2. Generally under 35 years of age, with a doctoral degree obtained no more than 3 years ago;

3. Have a solid academic background, strong innovative vitality and academic potential, as well as certain scientific research achievements and a spirit of teamwork.
