Job Description

The Research Group for Multi-Scale Simulation and Design of Functional Materials at Southeast University is a young team led by Professor Wang Jinlan, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, consisting of several young backbone teachers, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students. The team includes 4 full professors, 5 associate professors, and 1 engineer; among them, there is 1 recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and Jiangsu "Double Innovation Talent" (Ma Liang), 1 National Young Top Talent and Zhongying Young Scholar (Ju Minggang), and 3 Zhishan Young Scholars of Southeast University. Currently, focusing on the major strategic needs of the country in the layout of materials science, the research team focuses on tackling key issues in frontier functional materials such as two-dimensional semiconductor materials and energy conversion materials, emphasizing the development of original innovation capabilities and platform system construction, and leading the transformation of material research and development paradigms driven by data and artificial intelligence.

### Supported Platforms

1. **School of Physics, Southeast University**

It has a first-level discipline master's program, doctoral program, and postdoctoral research station in "Physics". "Physics" at Southeast University is a key discipline of Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and has been ranked in the top 1% of ESI for many consecutive years, with the latest ranking among the 15th place among mainland universities.

2. **Suzhou Laboratory**

As a new type of scientific research institution approved by the Central Government, the laboratory follows the fundamental principle of "four orientations" (oriented towards world science and technology frontiers, oriented towards the main economic battlefield, oriented towards the major needs of the country, and oriented towards the life and health of the people). Focusing on major materials science and key technical issues in the development of "strategic products, strategic industries, and future technologies", it strengthens breakthroughs in strategic structural materials, functional materials, and frontier materials, builds large scientific devices in the field of materials and AI computing design platforms, conducts strategic, forward-looking, and basic research, and strives to become a world-class laboratory.

### Profile of Professor Wang Jinlan

She is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Physics, Southeast University, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, a recipient of the Special Allowance of the State Council, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. She also serves as the Director of the Key Laboratory of Quantum Materials and Information Devices of the Ministry of Education and an Associate Researcher of Suzhou Laboratory (a national laboratory). She has published more than 300 papers as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as *Nature*, *Nature Nanotechnology*, and *Nature Communications*, with a total of more than 20,000 citations and an H-index of 77. She has been selected as an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar for nine consecutive years. She serves as an associate editor of *Nanoscale*, a scientific editor of *Nanoscale Horizons*, and an editorial board member of several journals including *Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters*. We sincerely invite young talents in the field of materials from home and abroad to join us, move forward courageously, tackle difficulties together, and climb the peak hand in hand!
