Recruitment of Zhishan Postdoctoral Fellows at the Research Center for Complex Transportation Networks, Southeast University

The Institute of Complex Transportation Network (ICTN) at the School of Transportation, Southeast University, was founded in March 2019. It is an innovative center for basic theoretical research co-founded by a group of young and middle-aged backbone teachers, including Professor Liu Zhiyuan, Professor Dong Zhijie, Associate Professor Gu Ziyuan, and Associate Professor Huang Di, among others. Adhering to the core goal of innovating basic transportation theories, the ICTN aims to realize the reform of transportation theoretical research in the era of digital intelligence, expand cutting-edge interdisciplinary issues in transportation research, gradually develop into a leading force in guiding the development of basic theories such as China's transportation big data analysis and system models, and further grow into an internationally renowned innovative team focusing on cutting-edge transportation issues and important basic theories. Keeping up with the rapid development and drastic changes in China's transportation industry, such as intelligence, automation, and electrification, the center promotes the industrial transformation and application of theoretical innovations, guides the direction of industrial development, actively cultivates interdisciplinary graduate students, and provides high-quality industrial and innovative talents.

Currently, the ICTN consists of 9 full-time teachers, 3 postdoctoral researchers, and a large number of doctoral and master's students, including 3 professors, 2 associate professors, and 2 lecturers. All full-time teachers have doctoral degrees or visiting experience in developed countries or regions overseas, with profound academic attainments. The team's research focuses on the cutting-edge issues of transportation engineering, considering the dynamic, open, random, differential, spatiotemporal complexity, and interdisciplinary characteristics of complex transportation systems. It integrates cutting-edge emerging technologies with knowledge in the core fields of transportation engineering, takes into account the travel characteristics of both systems and individuals, optimizes travel plans, and aims to build an intelligent travel system that is efficient, sustainable, fair, inclusive, green, and safe, achieving the perfect integration of science and engineering technologies.

### Salary and Benefits

1. The initial appointment period is 3 years, with a basic annual salary of no less than 400,000 yuan during the appointment period (350,000 yuan from the university, and a subsidy of more than 50,000 yuan from the cooperative supervisor; priority is given to funding cutting-edge technology directions such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and complex network optimization).

2. The annual salary includes a housing rental subsidy of 30,000 yuan; those who live in postdoctoral apartments will not enjoy the housing rental subsidy. Postdoctoral researchers are managed dynamically; regular postdoctoral researchers who perform excellently in the annual assessment can enter the Zhishan Postdoctoral sequence in the next year.

3. Research start-up funds: 100,000 yuan for science, engineering, and medical disciplines; 50,000 yuan for humanities and social sciences.

4. Career development channels: Zhishan Postdoctoral researchers who perform excellently in the first appointment period assessment and enter the second appointment period can apply for the evaluation of senior professional and technical positions at the university. Those who obtain the title of associate researcher or above through the evaluation of the university's senior professional title evaluation committee and pass the admission review for full-time faculty of the university can obtain the qualification to enter the university's full-time faculty team.

5. Eligible to apply for additional funding, such as the Jiangsu Provincial Excellent Postdoctoral Program (300,000 yuan for two years), the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents (630,000 yuan for two years), and postdoctoral domestic and foreign exchange programs (300,000-720,000 yuan for two years), with a maximum total funding exceeding one million yuan.

6. Enjoy social insurance and housing provident fund as stipulated by the state; enjoy free medical insurance for faculty and staff; be eligible to rent finely decorated postdoctoral apartments; and enjoy policies for faculty and staff's children to enter schools and kindergartens, etc.
