The research group of Professor Yu Linhui from the Future Agriculture Research Institute is sincerely recruiting postdoctoral fellows.

Professor Yu Linhui

Eligible candidates for national and provincial-level youth talent projects, obtained his doctoral degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2014. He conducted postdoctoral research at University of Science and Technology of China and Brookhaven National Laboratory in the United States successively. In January 2022， he returned to work at Northwest A&F University， serving as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Future Agriculture. In recent years， he has achieved a number of innovative results in exploring and utilizing stress-resistant genes of plants， regulating the lipid synthesis metabolism of plants and their interactions with the environment. He has published more than ten papers as the first author (including co-first author) and co-corresponding author in academic journals such as Nature Communications， Molecular Plant， Plant Cell， New Phytologist， Plant Physiology， Plant Journal， and Plant Biotechnology Journal.

The research group led by Professor Yu Linhui mainly uses Arabidopsis thaliana and oil crops as research materials to explore methods for increasing the oil content and nitrogen use efficiency of crops, as well as improving their stress resistance. The main research contents include: 1) The synthesis, storage and metabolic mechanisms of lipids; 2) The interaction between lipid metabolism and abiotic stress; 3) The efficient utilization of nitrogen nutrition in plants; 4) The exploration and utilization of excellent gene resources of oil crops.

The research team is currently recruiting 1-2 postdoctoral fellows for development needs. We sincerely invite young talents who are interested in the research direction of our team, have outstanding research capabilities, and are determined to achieve high-quality research results to join us.

I. Job Responsibilities

1. Be capable of independently completing the research tasks assigned by the research group and writing high-level research papers.

2. Assist the project leader in laboratory management and graduate student cultivation;

3. Assist the project leader or independently apply for various research projects and talent programs;

4. Fulfill the contractual tasks stipulated in the employment contract conscientiously.

II. Requirements for Application

1. Obey laws and regulations, possess good ideological and moral qualities as well as professional ethics and conduct; be rigorous in scholarship, have a strong sense of dedication and responsibility; be physically and mentally healthy, and have the physical condition and psychological quality necessary to complete the corresponding tasks.

2. Possessing a doctoral degree in a discipline related to biology, having a strong interest in scientific research, having achieved considerable academic achievements, and showing great potential for development.

3. Possess the ability to independently conduct research and a strong sense of teamwork, as well as excellent English reading and writing skills.

4. The age should generally not exceed 35 years old.

III. Compensation, Benefits and Support Conditions

(1) Compensation

Annual salary ranges from 150,000 to 330,000 yuan (before tax), and performance-based rewards are also provided (refer to the standards for on-the-job staff of the school who are on the payroll).

Those who are selected for the "Support Program for Innovative Postdoctoral Researchers", "Introducing Project of International Exchange for Postdoctoral Researchers" and other similar and at the same level national doctoral postdoctoral special funds will receive corresponding matching financial support from the university.

(II) Housing

The school provides temporary housing for those who cannot solve their housing problems temporarily. For those who are unable to obtain housing solutions from the school, the school offers housing subsidies.

(III) Social Security

In accordance with the relevant regulations on social insurance for the on-the-job and regular staff of the school, they are entitled to social insurance benefits such as old-age, medical care, work-related injury and maternity insurance.

(4) Enrollment of Children in Kindergartens and Schools

Provide high-quality educational resources for kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools (the affiliated kindergartens of these schools are provincial-level model kindergartens, the primary schools are provincial-level model primary schools, and the affiliated secondary schools are provincial-level model secondary schools).

(V) Professional Title Evaluation and Accreditation

During the period of being on duty, one can apply for participating in the appraisal and review of professional title according to the relevant regulations of the school.

(6) Selection and Retention of Teachers

Postdoctoral fellows who have performed outstandingly during their stay at the station can be given priority to be re-employed as school teachers in accordance with the corresponding procedures after their departure.

2. Postdoctoral fellows who meet the selection criteria for the school's high-level talent support program can apply for the corresponding positions after their postdoctoral research period.
