Job Description
Collaborative Supervisor Introduction
This research will be supervised by a distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor from Fudan University's Chemistry Department, who also serves as the Executive Vice President of the School of Chemistry and Materials.
The supervisor is a recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), and a Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society (USA). In 2012, they played a key role in establishing and serving as the Deputy Director of the Fudan-Dow Chemical Joint Research Center. In 2020, they founded and became the Director of the Shanghai Engineering Research Center for Biomedical Test Reagents.
Their main research focuses on bio-nanotechnology and bio-analysis, encompassing areas such as early cancer diagnosis and treatment, drug storage and release, and in vivo and in vitro biomedical imaging analysis. They have published over 100 SCI papers, including more than 10 in prestigious Nature series journals like Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Reviews Bioengineering, and Nature Communications. These publications have amassed over 30,000 citations, with an impressive H-index of 102. From 2018 to 2023, over 40 of their papers were recognized as ESI highly cited papers.
Their groundbreaking work has earned numerous accolades, including the 2023 First Prize of Rare Earth Science and Technology (first contributor), the 2022 First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science (first contributor), the 2022 Science Exploration Award, the 2020 First Prize of National Natural Science (fourth contributor), the 2019 First Prize of Education Ministry Natural Science, the Hou Dazhang Chemical Science and Technology Award, the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Shanghai Young Talent Science and Technology Award.
Furthermore, they have delivered over 30 invited reports at international conferences, including Nature Conferences, and serve as the Executive Editor of the international journal Frontiers in Chemistry (Nanoscience Section). The fluorescence lifetime imaging equipment and probes they developed have been successfully commercialized and are currently utilized in clinical research at institutions such as Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Dermatology Hospital of Tongji University, and Shanghai Tenth People's Hospital. They have also developed upconversion fluorescence encoded in vitro analysis technology, significantly improving the throughput and sensitivity of multiple biological detections. Notably, their immunological test kit has obtained a national Class II medical device registration certificate.
I. Position Requirements
We are seeking candidates who:
- Hold a doctoral degree in chemistry, materials science, or microelectronics, etc.
- Possess relevant experience in the synthesis and characterization of rare earth nanomaterials, or in the research of chemical mechanical polishing processes and the development of polishing solutions.
- Are enthusiastic about scientific research, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Are diligent, possess strong independent thinking and practical skills, and demonstrate a spirit of teamwork.
II. Relevant Benefits
- The annual salary for full-time postdoctoral fellowships is no less than 180,000 - 200,000 yuan after tax.
- The annual salary for super postdoctoral fellowships is no less than 230,000 - 500,000 yuan after tax.
