Researcher Profile: Cui Jie

Researcher Cui Jie, a doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Infection and Health, Fudan University, specializes in viral evolution and endogenous retroviruses.

He has an impressive publication record, with 80 papers in highly respected journals such as Nature Reviews Microbiology, Nature Communications, National Science Review, EBioMedicine, Genome Biology, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Emerging Infectious Diseases, PLoS Pathogens, and Journal of Virology. These publications have garnered a total of 15,500 citations, with an H-factor of 37. Many of his papers have been highlighted in prominent publications like Nature, Science, and F1000.

II. Job Positions for Recruitment

Postdoctoral fellow: 1-2 positions.

III. Requirements for Application

Applicants should;

1. Have obtained or are about to obtain a doctoral degree in fields related to virology, epigenetics, bioinformatics, etc., and have conducted research in related fields such as epigenetics and virology. Have a strong interest in the research direction of this research group.

2. Proficient in wet and postdoctoral experimental techniques of epigenetics (such as data analysis, basic cell biology experimental experience, etc.), and have research experience in virology (especially in retroviruses).

3. Possess the ability to independently undertake research projects and have published SCI-first-author papers.

4. Honest and meticulous, diligent and down-to-earth, with a spirit of teamwork.

IV. Compensation and Benefits

1. Salary:

• Full-time postdoctoral fellows will receive an annual salary ranging from 180,000 to 200,000 yuan.
• "Super" postdoctoral fellows will be awarded an annual salary between 260,000 and 500,000 yuan.
• Additional support will be provided for those who successfully apply for national-level talent projects through Fudan University.
• Basic salary and other benefits will adhere to Fudan University's relevant standards.

2. Research Funding & Exchanges:

• We support applications for the Postdoctoral Science Fund and the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Youth Fund projects by leveraging Fudan University's resources.
• Funding for participation in various academic exchange activities will be provided as per research needs.
