Notice on the application of postdoctoral foreign academic exchange projects in 2025

一．Project Content

The "Academic Exchange Program" sponsors outstanding postdoctoral researchers to participate in international academic conferences and carry out academic exchange activities. The subsidy is 20,000 yuan per person, which is mainly used for transportation, accommodation, and conference expenses to carry out academic exchange activities abroad. In 2025, the academic exchange program plans to sponsor up to 150 people.

二． Application Requirements

1. Should be a postdoctoral researcher in our university or directly affiliated hospitals.

2. Good listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English (or the language required to participate in international academic conferences).

3. The conference to be attended must be an international academic conference with a certain international influence and a certain scale in the field. The convener should be a professional industry association, society, or a multilateral international academic conference initiated by internationally renowned universities and scientific research institutions.

4. Have submitted papers to the international academic conference to be attended, be the first author of the paper (or the postdoctoral co-supervisor is the first author, and the postdoctoral fellow himself is the second author), and have received a formal written notice that they will make an oral report at the conference.

5. Have not received this funding during the postdoctoral research work in this station.

6. The selected personnel of the dispatched projects funded by the state and the long-term public personnel of the school cannot apply for this project during their absence.

7. The date of the international academic conference should be held in the current year (if the date of participation is earlier than the date of selection, the participant can participate in the conference first, and the funding will be reimbursed after the allocation of funds).

三 . Application and selection procedures

1. Individual application

Applicants can apply from March 10 to September 25. During the period, log in to the China Postdoctoral website, enter the China Postdoctoral Online Office System, select "Academic Exchange Program" in the "Overseas Exchange Program" to declare, fill in the relevant application information according to the prompts, and upload relevant supporting materials.

2. The Postdoctoral Work Office of the Human Resources Office of the University conducts regular online audits.

3. Selection method

(1) Direct funding

Applicants who participate in the conferences listed in the "Catalogue of Important International Academic Conferences" in the application system and are invited to give oral presentations will be directly funded on a first-come, first-served basis after being reviewed and recommended by the station unit and by both the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

(2) Indirect funding

For applicants who do not receive direct funding, they will be funded by "applying at any time and selecting the best". The Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation plan to announce the results of the selection in October. Applicants and station units can log in to the China Postdoctoral Online Office System and check the selection status in the "Academic Exchange Program" under the column of "Overseas Exchange Programs".

For postdoctoral fellows who have passed the university's review and application for national academic exchange projects and go abroad to participate in conferences on schedule, if they have not received funding from the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, they can apply to the Human Resources Office for special funding for academic exchanges after the results are announced.
