Job Description
一. Hong Kong Scholars Program
(一) Project content
The "Hong Kong Scholars Programme" is jointly implemented by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the Hong Kong Scholars Association. Every year, Mainland PhDs will be sent to designated universities in Hong Kong to carry out postdoctoral research as contract researchers of Hong Kong universities for a period of 2 years under the guidance of Hong Kong co-supervisors. The subsidy is 439,200 Hong Kong dollars (about 360,000 yuan) per person, which is mainly used to pay for the living expenses, housing allowance, medical insurance, Research subsidies and round-trip travel expenses, etc.
In 2025, the "Hong Kong Scholars Scheme" plans to sponsor no more than 60 people.
(二) Application requirements
1. Under the age of 35, good political literacy, good ideological and moral character, and good health.
2. The applicant should be a postdoctoral researcher or a doctoral graduate who has not entered the station, and the applicant should generally be within three years of doctoral graduation.
3. The application of postdoctoral researchers in the station must be approved by the station unit and the cooperative supervisor; Applicants who have not entered the station need to rely on the postdoctoral research mobile station and workstation to declare, and then go through the postdoctoral entry procedures after being selected.
4. Possess a high academic level, coupled with strong scientific research and innovation abilities
5. Have a good command of English.
6. Able to work full-time in Hong Kong for 2 years.
7. Professional fields: basic research, biomedicine, information technology, agriculture, new energy, new materials, advanced manufacturing, economics, law, management, etc.
8. Have not previously obtained postdoctoral foreign exchange programs and other postdoctoral introduction and dispatch programs (except for postdoctoral foreign academic exchange programs), or state-funded postdoctoral researcher programs (A, B, C) grants.
(三) Application and selection procedures
1. Position advertisement
The Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation announced the postdoctoral research positions in Hong Kong under the Hong Kong Scholars Program this year, and the job information will be released with the application guidelines.
2. Individual application
Applicants should log in to the China Postdoctoral website from March 10 to April 30, enter the China Postdoctoral Online Office System https://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn/auth/login.html , and select "Xiangjiang Scholar Program" in "Overseas Exchange Program" to apply. When applying, you must check the details of the application position, fill in the relevant application information and upload relevant supporting materials according to the prompts.
3. Review and recommendation of postdoctoral station units
The Human Resources Department will complete the review and submission of all online applications and supporting materials before May 9.
4. Selection of Mainland and Hong Kong organizations
The first round of expert review organized by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation will select candidates according to the ratio of 1:2 of the number of planned funders. The Hong Kong side will conduct a second round of expert review of the candidates to determine the candidates to be selected.
Applicants and station units can log in to the application system in June to check the results of the first round of expert review.
二. Macao Young Scholars Program
(一) Project content
The "Macao Young Scholars Program" is jointly implemented by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the Macao Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology. Every year, Mainland Ph.D. doctors will be selected to work in designated universities and scientific research institutions in Macao for a period of 2 years under the guidance of co-supervisors. The subsidy is 420,000 patacas (about 360,000 yuan) per person, which is mainly used for living expenses, housing subsidies, social insurance and round-trip travel expenses during the selected person's stay in Macao. The Macao Training Unit assists in the provision of self-financed medical service programs, and provides school dormitories (accommodation at your own expense) as appropriate. The co-supervisor is responsible for all other expenses of the research work (e.g. consumables, experimental equipment, travel expenses, expenses for attending international conferences, etc.).
In 2025, the "Macao Young Scholars Program" plans to subsidize up to 30 students.

The Macao Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology will organize the second round of expert evaluation of the project to determine the candidates to be selected.
