Job Description
The Institute for Math & AI, Wuhan (IMAI) was established in June 2023 as an in-house research institution of Wuhan University. It is led by Zhang Pingwen, the president of Wuhan University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and its academic committee is headed by E Weinan, a chair professor at Peking University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The IMAI focuses on conducting fundamental and cross-disciplinary research in core fields such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, and cybersecurity. It aims to build a talent hub in central China, an academic research center with international influence, a science and technology innovation center with original bottom-up innovation capabilities, and a demonstration base for application implementation. In line with the development of its cause and the needs of its talent team building, the IMAI recruits outstanding postdoctoral researchers on a year-round basis from both domestic and overseas.

II. Application Requirements
Have good ideological and political qualities and professional ethics, with upright teaching conduct and style, rigorous scientific attitude, dedication to work, and good health.
2. Applicants should generally be no older than 35 years old, possess a solid academic background and demonstrate strong academic potential.
3. Have obtained a doctoral degree no more than three years ago (as of the date of application submission), or have met the basic requirements for the defense of a doctoral dissertation at the time of application.
4. A research team or project group has been initially selected, and a preliminary research plan has been discussed and formed with the team leader or project group leader.
5. Comply with other relevant regulations of Wuhan University concerning postdoctoral management.
III. Salary and Benefits
1. Salary and benefits: The annual salary for general applicants ranges from 180,000 to 300,000 yuan (before tax, including the salary provided by the university, the supervisor's contribution, and the year-end research performance bonus). Particularly outstanding applicants will be recommended to apply for the university's "Hongyi Postdoctoral" and key-funded postdoctoral positions. The specific salary will be determined in accordance with the university's relevant regulations. Additionally, various postdoctoral project subsidies from the state, Hubei Province, and Wuhan City can be applied for and added.

IV. Application Method

Among them: For papers, provide the full text (for unpublished papers, also provide proof of acceptance) and proof of inclusion and retrieval; for monographs, provide the cover, table of contents and abstract; for patents or awards, provide the certificates; for research projects undertaken, provide relevant supporting materials.
(4) Identity documents: Valid ID card (foreigners should provide their passports); Doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate (for recent doctoral graduates, a certificate of meeting the doctoral graduation requirements must be provided; for those who have obtained their degrees from abroad, a "Certificate of Overseas Academic Degree and Diploma Authentication" issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center is required).
Three recommendation letters from experts, including one from the doctoral supervisor (for postdoctoral researchers in station, the recommender is not restricted), should be signed by the recommenders themselves and sent by the recommenders' email.
The joint postdoctoral research station of Wuhan Institute of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence and the affiliated college will organize an expert group to conduct online or offline interviews for the initially qualified candidates.
3. Those who pass the interview will be required to undergo a physical examination at the designated hospital of the university. Those who pass the physical examination can follow the procedures for applying to be a postdoctoral fellow as stated on the website of the Personnel Department of Wuhan University to apply for entry.
