Recruitment Announcement for Project Postdoctoral Fellows in Professor Du Shizhong's Team
School of Education, Central China Normal University
In response to the needs of the "Double First-Class" discipline construction plan and project research in education at Central China Normal University, Professor Du Shizhong's research team at the School of Education is now publicly recruiting 1-2 full-time postdoctoral researchers from home and abroad.
### Profile of the Cooperating Supervisor
Professor Du Shizhong is a "Guizi Scholar" Distinguished Professor, second-tier professor at Central China Normal University, expert enjoying special government allowances of the State Council, New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, "Most Beautiful Social Scientist" of Hubei Province, Director of the provincial humanities and social sciences base "School Moral Education Research Center", Director of the National Young Pioneers Research Base of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Vice Chairman of the National Academic Committee on Moral Education, Vice President of the National Society for Educational Ethics, President of the Hubei Primary and Secondary School Moral Education Professional Committee, and member of the Moral Education Discipline Group of the National Education Science Planning Office. He has presided over nearly 20 projects, including major project tackling programs of philosophy and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, projects of the National Social Science Foundation, and key projects of the National Education Science Planning Office.
Professor Du Shizhong has clearly put forward the educational proposition of "cultivating moral people with moral systems", leading his academic team in theoretical construction and practical exploration of institutional moral education theory. He has established the "True Education Alliance" and formed distinct academic characteristics. He has published 13 works such as *Institutional Moral Education Theory*, *Ten Lectures on Moral Education*, *Scientific Education and Humanistic Education*, *On Humanistic Education*, and *Humanistic Education and Institutional Moral Education*, and has publicly published more than 170 academic papers. His research achievements have won 10 awards in total, including the Second Prize of Excellent Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences of National Colleges and Universities by the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of National Excellent Achievements in Educational Science by the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Excellent Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences of Hubei Province, and the "Mingyuan Education Award".
### Introduction to the Research Team
After more than 20 years of development, the research team has become a vibrant and elite team consisting of professors, associate professors, full-time researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and doctoral and master students. The team has 7 teachers and full-time researchers, with 1 postdoctoral fellow currently in station. They mainly engage in research in fields such as institutional moral education theory, subject education theory, educational ethics, educational equity, and school education reform. Team members have successively undertaken more than 40 projects, including the National Social Science Foundation projects, National Natural Science Foundation projects, Humanities and Social Sciences projects of the Ministry of Education, and key projects of the National Education Science Planning. Their research results have been published in high-level domestic and foreign academic journals such as *Educational Research*, *Higher Education Research*, and *Journal of Education*.
### Main Research Directions
1. **Knowledge Innovation Research on Principles of Moral Education**: Collation of the academic history of moral education; research on the construction of moral education theory based on disciplines such as psychology, ethics, sociology, and political science; disciplinary support for the principles of moral education based on the latest disciplinary differentiation and interdisciplinary studies, such as sociobiology, evolutionary psychology, experimental psychology, moral neuroscience, and organizational behavior; research on the essence of moral education; research on the subjects of moral education; research on moral education curriculum; research on moral education methods; research on moral education environment; research on moral education theories; research on institutional moral education theory; etc.
2. **Research on the Ethical Basis of School Education Reform**: Research on education as a moral cause; research on educational justice; research on teachers' moral justice; research on the ethical attributes and ethical realization of educational systems; research on the moral basis of educational reform; research on schools as moral communities; etc.
3. **Research on Subject Education Theory**: Research on educational anthropology; research on the laws of the generation and development process of humans as subjects; research on the essence, connotation, and characteristics of educational subjects; collation of the academic history of subject education research; research on the cultivation and development of educational subjects; research on the construction of subject education theory; research on subject education theory and China's educational modernization; etc.
### Basic Qualifications
To meet work needs, we plan to recruit 2 postdoctoral researchers who meet the following criteria:
1. Have a multidisciplinary professional background in education, psychology, sociology, political science, etc., and must have obtained a doctoral degree before going through the entry procedures;
2. Have good scientific research ability, solid knowledge of research methods, and be able to carry out scientific research independently;
3. Be proficient in writing in Chinese and English, and capable of conducting research reports and academic exchanges;
4. Have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit;
5. Be in good physical and mental health, and generally under 35 years of age in principle.
### Job Responsibilities
1. Assist the team in carrying out research projects, and independently complete the assigned research content and paper writing;
2. Assist in guiding the scientific research work of master's and doctoral students, and provide strong support for related projects;
3. Apply for postdoctoral science funds, and participate in the writing of scientific research funds and research projects;
