Recruitment Announcement for Project Postdoctoral Fellows in Professor Guo Yuanxiang's Team
School of Education, Central China Normal University
In response to the needs of the "Double First-Class" discipline construction plan and project research in education at Central China Normal University, Professor Guo Yuanxiang's research team at the School of Education is now publicly recruiting 1-2 full-time postdoctoral researchers from home and abroad.
### Profile of the Cooperating Supervisor
Guo Yuanxiang is a second-tier professor, doctoral supervisor, recipient of national major talent programs, Boya Scholar of Central China Normal University, and Famous Teacher of Hubei Province. He serves as Executive Deputy Director of the Basic Education Curriculum Research Center of the Ministry of Education at Central China Normal University, Deputy Director and Chief Expert of the Central China Normal University Center of the China Collaborative Innovation Center for Basic Education Quality Monitoring, Vice Chairman of the Curriculum Academic Committee of the Education Branch of the Chinese Society of Education, and Chairman of the Practical Education Branch of the Chinese Tao Xingzhi Research Association. He was a member of the first and second National Curriculum Expert Working Committee. He won the first and second prizes of the National Basic Education Teaching Achievements in 2014 and 2018 respectively, the second prize of the National Higher Education Teaching Achievements in 2023, the second prize of the 6th National Educational Science Research Achievements in 2021, and the second prize of the 9th National University Humanities and Social Sciences Research Achievements in 2024.
His main research fields are curriculum and teaching theory, with studies focusing on curriculum principles, deep teaching theory, learning experience, and learning engagement monitoring. He has undertaken 16 research projects of various types, including major projects of the National Education Revitalization Action Plan and major projects of the Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education. He has carried out experimental research on "deep teaching" and action research on curriculum and teaching reform in Wuhan (Hubei), Guangzhou (Guangdong), Wuxi (Jiangsu), etc.
### Introduction to the Research Team
Professor Guo Yuanxiang's research team currently has 9 professors, 6 associate professors, 5 lecturers, and 18 doctoral students. The team members maintain a harmonious relationship and a strong research atmosphere. The team mainly focuses on the basic theory and practical application of curriculum and teaching, as well as the development and reform of primary and secondary schools. The key research issues involved include: curriculum and teaching principles, deep teaching theory, primary and secondary school students' learning engagement and learning experience, learning measurement and computation, cognitive load of teaching materials, etc. In terms of research methods, it emphasizes the integration and interaction between teaching theory research and teaching practice reform. Team members currently preside over 8 projects such as the National Social Science Fund and the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and have published many papers in authoritative journals such as *Educational Research* and *Curriculum, Teaching Material and Method*.
### Main Research Directions for the Recruited Postdoctoral Fellows
1. Learning measurement and computation, research on learning engagement and learning experience monitoring (priority option)
2. Construction of basic theory of deep teaching and its practical application
### Basic Qualifications
To meet work needs, we plan to recruit 1-2 postdoctoral researchers who meet the following criteria:
1. Have a professional background in curriculum and teaching theory (including subject curriculum and teaching theory), educational psychology, educational information technology, etc.; must be an academic doctoral student and have obtained a doctoral degree before entering the station;
2. Have a strong interest in curriculum and teaching research, strong scientific research ability, and outstanding awareness of educational innovation, and be able to carry out scientific research independently;
3. Have good Chinese and English reading, writing and communication skills, and have published research papers as the first author (including supervisor as the first author) in important academic journals in related fields;
4. Have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit;
5. Be in good physical and mental health, and generally under 35 years of age.
### Job Responsibilities
1. Assist the team in carrying out research projects, and independently complete the assigned research content and paper writing;
2. Assist in guiding the scientific research work of master's and doctoral students, and provide strong support for related projects;
3. Apply for postdoctoral science funds, and participate in the writing of scientific research funds and projects;
