Job Description

I. Application Requirements

1. Candidates must have excellent character and academic performance, be in good health, have obtained a doctoral degree by June 30, 2024, with the time since obtaining the doctoral degree not exceeding 3 years, and be under 35 years of age.

2. Candidates must have a stable research direction, a solid research foundation, and have achieved certain research results.

3. If the applicant is a doctoral graduate trained by our university, they are not allowed to apply for postdoctoral research in the postdoctoral research station of the same first-level discipline.

4. Applications from faculty and staff of our university for postdoctoral research at our university will not be accepted.

5. Applications from doctoral students under commissioned training or targeted training for postdoctoral research at our university will not be accepted.

6. For this batch, applications from in-service personnel for postdoctoral research at our university will not be accepted temporarily.

### II. Recruitment Plan

#### (I) Regular Postdoctoral Researchers

1. The recruiting disciplines, cooperative supervisors, and contact information are detailed in Annex 1.

2. Recruitment Quotas

Each cooperative supervisor may recruit no more than 1 postdoctoral researcher per year, and the number of postdoctoral researchers currently in the station under their supervision shall not exceed 4. Cooperative supervisors with no more than 2 postdoctoral researchers in the station and who have ongoing provincial/ministerial or higher-level research projects may recruit up to 2 postdoctoral researchers this year. Cooperative supervisors who will retire within three years (i.e., by June 30, 2027) will no longer recruit postdoctoral researchers.

Faculty postdoctoral researchers, jointly trained postdoctoral researchers in cooperation with enterprises, and commissioned training postdoctoral researchers are not subject to the above quota restrictions.

#### (II) Project Postdoctoral Researchers

The Tangshan Bank Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base entrusts our university to recruit 1 project postdoctoral researcher. Details on research fields, recruitment requirements, etc., are available in Annex 2.

### III. Application Procedures

1. Applicants must log in to the China Postdoctoral Website (http://www.chinapostdoctor.org.cn), register personally on the "Postdoctoral Entry/Exit" page. After registration, log in to the "China Postdoctoral Online Office System" to fill in and submit the entry application.

2. Applicants must submit the following written materials:

(1) *Application Form for Postdoctoral Researchers to Enter the Station* (generated after filling in the application information in the "China Postdoctoral Online Office System"; printed version with handwritten signature, 2 copies).

- The first-level and second-level disciplines must be filled in accurately.

- Indicate whether to relocate household registration after entry; "Household Register Homepage Address" and "Affiliated Police Station" must be consistent with the household register or household card.

- Marital status and children’s information must be clearly stated.

- Work and education experience must be filled in chronological order.

(2) *Expert Recommendation Letters* (2–3 experts, 2 copies each). One of the experts must be the applicant’s intended postdoctoral cooperative supervisor. For returned overseas scholars, one recommendation should preferably come from a foreign expert. The recommendation letter template is available in Annex 3.

(3) *Examination Form for Postdoctoral Researchers to Enter the Station* (download the corresponding form by identity type from the "Download Center" on the China Postdoctoral Website, 2 copies).

a. Recent doctoral graduates must provide a written certificate of enrollment status (unified recruitment and distribution) issued by their original institution.

b. Resigned applicants must provide a *Certificate of Termination of Personnel (Labor) Relations* or *Resignation Certificate* issued by the personnel department of their former employer.

c. Returned overseas doctors who canceled their household registration before going abroad must provide a household registration cancellation certificate.

d. Postdoctoral researchers applying for a second entry must provide the *Postdoctoral Researcher Completion Registration Form* from their previous station.

(4) *Evaluation Opinion Form from the Academic Department of the Postdoctoral Research Station* (download from the "China Postdoctoral Online Office System", 2 copies), to be completed by the academic committee of the teaching/research unit hosting the postdoctoral station during the interview.

(5) Copies of doctoral graduation certificate and degree certificate (recent graduates who have not yet obtained the certificate may provide a proof of pending doctoral degree issued by the degree authority of their graduating school). Returned overseas scholars must also provide a copy of the *Foreign Academic Qualification Certification* issued by the Ministry of Education Service Center for Studying Abroad.

(6) Copy of ID card (Hong Kong/Macau residents must provide their Hong Kong/Macau SAR ID card; Taiwan residents must provide their Taiwan ID card; foreign nationals must provide their passport, 2 copies).

(7) Abstract of the doctoral dissertation (approximately 1,500 words) and original copies or copies of other representative research achievements.

(8) Proposed research topic and preliminary research plan (approximately 3,000 words) to be conducted after entry. For applicants to the Tangshan Bank project, the topic must align with the research fields provided by Tangshan Bank, with the note "Tangshan Bank Project".

(9) Political review materials (stating the applicant’s stance and performance in opposing cults such as "Falun Gong"), issued by the grass-roots Party organization of their alma mater or current employer.

Please keep backups of all materials; no application materials will be returned.

### IV. Recruitment Process

1. Applicants submit the online entry application and all paper materials to the university’s Postdoctoral Work Office (submission by mail is acceptable). The deadline for both online applications and paper materials is June 30, 2024.

2. The university’s Postdoctoral Work Office conducts a preliminary review of the application materials.

3. Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the academic committee of the intended teaching/research unit, including a presentation and defense. Each unit will select candidates based on the principle of "ensuring quality and selecting the best".

4. The university’s Postdoctoral Work Office reviews the recommended candidates from each unit’s academic committee and submits them to the National Postdoctoral Management Committee Office for approval and filing.

5. Upon approval from the National Postdoctoral Management Committee Office, the university will process the entry procedures for the selected candidates.
