Job Description

I. Introduction of the Research Group

Professor Song Baoxing was selected for the National-level Young Talent Program with the support of Northwest A&F University. Postdoc. Song Baoxing graduated from the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research (University of Cologne, Germany) and then conducted postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Edward Buckler, a renowned academician of the United States, at Cornell University. The research group has undertaken several projects of the National Young Talent Program and received support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. The members of the research group have published multiple papers as corresponding authors or first authors in mainstream journals such as Trends in Plant Science, PNAS, Genome Research, New Phytologist, and PLoS Genetics.

This research group is affiliated with the team of Cereal Biology and Adaptive Genetic Breeding. Its main research subjects are maize and closely related wild species of the Gramineae family. It develops and utilizes comparative genomics and genetics methods to analyze the genetic molecular mechanisms of environmental adaptability and agronomic traits, and applies them to the prediction, optimization and improvement of agronomic traits; genomic assembly, genomic comparison and evolutionary research of crops and their related species; exploration of adaptive physiological and genetic mechanisms.

According to the development needs of the research group, we sincerely invite one postdoctoral fellow each in the field of bioinformatics and molecular genetics. We welcome those who are interested in the research direction of our group and have the aspiration for scientific research to join us!

II. Recruitment Requirements

1) Obtain a doctoral degree and be under 35 years old; obtain a doctoral degree within three years.
