Job Description
As one of the first batch of advanced centers supported by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education of Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") is a high-level international innovation platform guided by major educational practice problems and centered on educational science and technology innovation.
The core mission of the center is to promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education, stemming from major national education practice issues. It aims to study the cognitive science laws of the intelligent era, and to research and develop intelligent education technologies and products. Additionally, it seeks to promote the transformation of talent training models, innovate intelligent education public services, incubate a new education ecology for the future, create an educational benchmark, build a demonstration benchmark for smart education, and promote the comprehensive and individual development of students.
Now we are openly recruiting several postdoctoral researchers inside and outside the university.
一. Research direction
(一) Research on artificial intelligence and its application in education. Recruitment: 2-3 people
From the two-way perspective of education and technology, we will build an artificial intelligence education application system. This involves exploring how technology can differentiate and integrate the internal and external service chains of educational institutions, promoting human-machine collaboration between different education subjects, and forming a new educational service organization. This new system will integrate online and offline learning and cross-border elements both inside and outside the school, all supported by an intelligent environment.
Research Interests:
1. Research on the application of generative AI in teaching, evaluation, research, and other educational scenarios;
2. Research on the construction of educational models and their key technologies;
3. Research on intelligent guidance system and learner modeling.
(二) Research on intelligent evaluation of teachers' teaching ability and teaching precision as assistive technology. Recruitment: 1 person.
This research focuses on the "teaching embedding of machine intelligence" paradigm and its supporting technology. By understanding network-joint school scenarios and evaluating teachers' multi-dimensional teaching abilities, the project aims to provide machine intelligence that can be directly embedded into the actual teaching process, specifically in lesson preparation and resource utilization. It then uses human-machine collaboration to accurately assist teachers, ultimately improving their teaching competency. The project's core revolves around two scientific issues: the "Representation Model of Teaching Ability and Its Explanatory Mechanism" and "Teaching Embedding Methods and Mechanism of Machine Intelligence."
Research Interests:
1. Research on surveying, mapping and monitoring of online joint school teaching scenarios;
2. Research on the evaluation of teachers' teaching ability in integrating behavior perception and understanding;
3. Research on intelligent aggregation and precise guidance of cross-media teaching resources;
4. Research on the automatic generation of explainable teaching schemes for intelligent collaboration;
5. Demonstration of the application of intelligent teaching innovation in the environment of a network joint school.
(三) Research on key technologies of education model and intelligent teaching Q&A. Recruitment: 1 person
Leveraging the powerful natural language understanding and generation capabilities of cutting-edge large AI models, we are constructing a human-machine collaborative answer generation model. Based on a large pre-trained model, students can engage in multiple rounds of real-time dialogue, mimicking the Socratic teaching style. This approach guides learners step-by-step to recall previously acquired knowledge through questioning and provides ideas for problem-solving. The ultimate aim is to establish a new model of personalized intelligent tutoring to enhance the intelligence of online Q&A queries and improve human-computer interaction performance.
Research Interests:
1. Research on the application of key technologies for pre-training and fine-tuning of large educational models;
2. AI teaching assistant research, so that the education model can provide personalized questions and answers for students;
3. Research on the application mode of personalized intelligent tutoring and refining the teaching expertise of tutors through the education model, so as to form a new model of personalized intelligent tutoring service.
(四) Research on key technologies and teaching applications of AI-enhanced language learning. Recruitment: 1 person
From the perspectives of linguistics, applied linguistics, educational technology, and language teaching, there is a need to explore the establishment of key technologies. These include a K12 language corpus database, language cognitive maps, developmental ability diagnosis, and learner modeling. This effort aims to foster human-computer collaboration among different educational stakeholders, form a new language education and teaching service supported by an intelligent environment, and investigate pathways for the personalized development of K12 students' language literacy.
Research Interests:
1. Research on the construction of the Chinese education model and its key technologies.
2. Research on the modeling of intelligent language learning system to promote learners' language literacy.
3. Research on K12 language precision teaching based on human-computer collaboration.
二. Postdoctoral recruitment categories
1. Liyun Postdoctoral Fellow: A high-end postdoctoral program focused on the Beijing Campus of our university, recruiting outstanding doctoral graduates with good ideological character and top-notch scientific research and innovation capabilities. Funding is provided by the school.
2. Category A postdoctoral fellows: granted to those who meet the evaluation requirements of the inbound selection indicators of each employer and promise to meet the outbound assessment requirements of each employer. The salary and welfare expenses of Class A postdoctoral fellows during their stay in the station shall be jointly borne by the university and the employer. Among them, the employer's self-raised part of the expenses shall be borne by the employer and the co-tutor through negotiation.
三. The basic requirements of the position
1. Should have obtained a doctorate degree from a well-known university or scientific research institution at home and abroad. Among them, Li Yun postdoctoral fellows; refer to the relevant requirements of postdoctoral fellows in national projects such as the "Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program" of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee.
2. Should have a firm political stance, be physically and mentally healthy, under the age of 35, have obtained a doctorate degree for no more than three years. Must also be able to work full-time at Beijing Normal University after entering the university.
四. Remuneration
1. The annual salary of Li Yun postdoctoral fellows is 300,000 yuan (before tax). The university provides a rental subsidy of 50,000 yuan/year for Liyun postdoctoral fellows; can rent postdoctoral apartments according to the availability of housing. During the normal period of station, they can apply for enrollment (kindergarten) of their eligible children. In addition, the cooperative supervisor of the center will give some subsidies according to the scientific research progress and actual work of the postdoctoral fellows, so as to better support the postdoctoral fellows to carry out related research work.
2. The salary standard of Class A postdoctoral fellows is an annual salary of 180,000 yuan (before tax), and the cooperative supervisors of the center will also consider the performance of postdoctoral fellows in all aspects and give them appropriate subsidies to help the smooth development of scientific research and life during the postdoctoral period.
五. How to apply
